		<description>Remember the Mars Rover that NASA sent hurdling into the Martian surface at a few thousand miles per hour? That was the result of a software error that, essentially, made the program not convert metric units back to imperial. Not quite a typo, but I think it deserves an honorable mention.</description>

		<description>It would be kinda nice to actually be told what the typos were in each case.  Except for Google, and the Japanese Bank error, we&#039;re basically only told a typo was made.  

There are also no citations backing up any of these allegations.  Without any citations, one has to wonder if some of these are urban legends, and not actually real.</description>

The car dealer with the scratch off tickets especially- why not offer an additional X amount off a new car, or $1,000 with purchase? Not to say that&#039;s the right answer, but not holding true to your word and promotion will definitely lose customers.</description>
