I presume this must be an American website. The race is on between Europe and the U.S. regards no. 10. If the race is won by U.S. scientists then it will be subject to intellectual rights, but if its won by the E.U. scientists (and lets hope it is) the breakthrough will be ‘owned’ by everyone.

Re: #2, there is no “conflict” between what the Apostle Paul put forth in his epistles and what Jesus’ half brother James argued in his. We Christians are, indeed, “saved by grace thru faith, not of works lest anyone should boast.” However, “True religion is this: to visit the widow and the orphan in their distress.” In other words, the only “true religion” is that which helps others who need help, which only Christianity does (and, no, not Roman Catholicism on too many days.) Meanwhile, James was writing about the Christian vs. the cult member who claimed to have faith but did nothing for anyone . . . “can such faith save him?” Nope. James never said anyone can be saved by works; he warned to be sure you are actually trusting Jesus Christ as Lord as well as Savior.
